The supported projects span several governorates, from Cairo and Giza to Minya, Sohag, Luxor, and Aswan, as well as Sharqia, Port Said, and the remote Dakhla Oasis.

This wide geographical reach reflects the German Embassy’s commitment to inclusive development and supporting the most vulnerable communities.

Civil Society at the Heart of Sustainable Development

During a ceremony held at the German Embassy in Cairo, German Ambassador Jürgen Schulz emphasized the vital role of civil society in development, stating that these projects represent an investment in people, ideas, and the future — not merely financial support.


Selected Supported Projects

Ahl Masr Foundation – Digital Empowerment for Burn Survivors

With over a decade of experience in treating burn victims, the foundation will use the grant to establish a digital education center, offering tailored vocational and digital training to help survivors reintegrate into society.

Hayat Beitna (A Better Life) – Supporting Education in Upper Egypt

In cooperation with a German partner, the organization will use the funding to expand and equip a kindergarten in the village of Al-Bairat in Luxor, providing safe and supportive learning spaces for children.

Youth of Sharqia for Development – Sustainable Agriculture Solutions

In Sharqia Governorate, the grant will be used to build a recycling facility that converts agricultural waste into animal feed, supporting small-scale farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Education and Vocational Training: A Pillar of Egyptian-German Cooperation

These initiatives highlight Germany’s strong belief that education and vocational training are key pillars of sustainable development and long-term cooperation between Egypt and Germany, particularly in empowering youth and marginalized communities
