German Embassy in Cairo Supports 23 Egyptian Civil Society Organizations in 2025
Supporting Local Development Across Egypt
The supported projects span several governorates, from Cairo and Giza to Minya, Sohag, Luxor, and Aswan, as well as Sharqia, Port Said, and the remote Dakhla Oasis.
This wide geographical reach reflects the German Embassy’s commitment to inclusive development and supporting the most vulnerable communities.
Civil Society at the Heart of Sustainable Development
During a ceremony held at the German Embassy in Cairo, German Ambassador Jürgen Schulz emphasized the vital role of civil society in development, stating that these projects represent an investment in people, ideas, and the future — not merely financial support.
